This is a fabulous navette shaped cocktail ring, created in Japan by the jewelry company of Mikimoto. This cocktail ring has been crafted in solid white gold of 14 karats with high polished finish. The ring is a real statement and is embellished with twenty-seven earth mined natural gemstones such; vivid red rubies and a gorgeous translucent moonstone with great chatoyancy effect.

Chatoyancy

In gemology, is an optical reflectance effect seen in certain gemstones. Coined from the French "œil de chat", meaning "cat's eye", chatoyancy arises either from the fibrous structure of a material, as in tiger’s eye quartz , or from fibrous inclusions or cavities within the stone, as in cat's eye chrysoberyl or moonstones.

Moonstone: Mount in the center in a four-prongs setting, with 1 oval cabochon cut (23 x 12 x 10 mm) of a natural moonstone with a weight of about 19.75 carats by formula.

Rubies: Mounted in prongs settings, with 20 calibrated round faceted cut of natural vivid red rubies with a total weight of about 1.60 carats.

Rubies: Mounted in prongs settings, with 6 calibrated marquise faceted cut of natural vivid red rubies with a total weight of about 0.90 carats.

Birthstone: Moonstone for the month of June and rubies for July.

Weight: 16.95 Grams, (10.88 Dwt). 

Size: 7.5 and may be easily sized up or down on special request.

Measurements: 38 mm by 19.5 mm (1.51 x 0.77 Inches) and raise 14 mm over the finger.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark of an encircled M associated to Mikimoto, the mark for the assay of the 14kt gold and signed as follow: "M .585".

Collateral: This cocktail ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this Mikimoto ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The 27 gemstones are secured in their settings. This ring has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
