Pulcinello
The character originates from commedia dell'arte in the 17th century, Pulcinello is a famous Neapolitan character from classical Italian puppetry who was well known for expressing the lively and strong-willed nature of people from Naples. Pulcinello embodies the Neapolitan plebeians, the simplest man who occupies the bottom place on the social scale, the man who, although aware of his problems, always manages to come out of them with a smile. Pulcinello represents the soul of the people and its primitive instincts. For somebody, Pulcinella's origins date back to the Latin Comedy, but the most popular origins tell us this mask takes the name from a chick for the shape of his nose or from a certain Puccio d'Aniello, farmer from Acerra, who, fed up with hard work in the fields, joined himself to a company of vagabonds.

Bvlgari
The company was founded in the late 19th century by Sotirio Bulgari, who was born in 1857 in Greece and was descended from a talented family of silversmiths. In 1884 he opened his first shop in Rome on the Via Sistina, and then in 1905 he moved to the actual flag's store in Via dei Condotti. Upon Sotirio’s death in 1932 his sons, Giorgio and Costantino, took over the business. They are credited with creating the highly distinctive ‘Bvlgari’ style, inspired by Greek and Roman classicism revival, the Italian Renaissance, and the 19th century Roman school of goldsmiths. The 1970s marked the beginning of Bulgari’s international expansion with the opening of stores in New York (the first overseas), Paris, Geneva and Monte Carlo.
