FRED Paris Clips-On Earrings In 18Kt Gold With 2.12 Ctw In Diamonds & Emeralds

This is an exceptional pair of clip-on earrings, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Fred Joaillier, back in the late 1980's. This gem set pair has been carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. The earrings are embellished with a great selection of thirty natural earth mined gemstones, such: white colorless diamonds and Colombian emeralds. They are fitted with hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of gold posts for pierced ears can be easily done.

Diamonds: Mounted in French pave setting, with 28 calibrated round brilliant cuts diamonds with a total weight of about 0.48 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-1 clarity.

Emeralds: Mount in prongs settings, with 2 matching pear cabochons cut (7 x 5 x 4 mm) carved from natural Colombian green emeralds, with a combined weight of about 1.64 carats.

Birthstone: Emeralds for the month of May.

Weight: 13.5 grams, (8.65 Dwt).

Measurements: 20 mm by 10 mm by 15 mm (0.79 x 0.40 x 0.59 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks, the maker's mark Ste. FV inside a lozenge cartouche, the mark for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold and signed as follows: "FRED OR .750 FRANCE".
