*Germany 1920 Art Deco important geometric necklace in sterling with 155 Ctw in citrines & chrysoprase
Art deco necklace with natural gemstones attributed to Theodor Fahrner.
An important and rare art deco geometric piece, made in northern Europe between the 1920 and 1930. It is most probably made in Germany or Austria and related to a follower of the jeweler atelier of Theodor Fahrner. Carefully crafted in solid .935/1000 sterling silver.
Embellished with eight natural gemstones and European marcasite faceted chips. All gems are mounted with double prongs settings and are finished with millegrain patterns.
The main center gemstone is an oversized squared step cut (32 by 27 by 18 mm) of a natural yellow citrine with an estimate weight of 95 to 100 carats and accented with other 4 fancy cuts yellow citrines with an additional 10 carats.
The 3 large green chrysoprase pieces are gems quality, with great transparency and have a total weight of about 45 carats,
Has a weight of 46.95 grams and the main piece have a measures of 90 mm by 50 mm (3.54 x 2 inches).
