This is a beautiful and youthful pair of clip-on earrings created in New York City in 1977 by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co. These earrings are part of the iconic Petals collection, produced between 1976 and 1979.
The earrings were masterfully crafted in the shape of delicate rose petals carved from natural white nacre, beautifully mounted in free-form settings handcrafted in solid 18-karat yellow gold with a high-polished finish. The organic design reflects Angela Cummings’ distinctive aesthetic, combining natural inspiration, sculptural elegance, and refined craftsmanship.
The reverse is fitted with comfortable hinged French omega backs for secure clip-on fastening and gold posts for pierced ears. The posts may be easily removed, allowing the earrings to be converted for non-pierced wear.

She was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business. This pair is a nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
