A celadon vase from the Song Dynasty.
This is a genuine ancient vase created during the Song Dynasty in China. Long Quan ware celadon glazed vase with long neck and two tubular ears showing beautiful crackled patterns. Excellent proportions with minimal residues and consistent traces of firing showed in the upper rim and bottom. This celadon glaze vase is presented in a carved wood round base.
The Song Dynasty
This was a golden age of economic, cultural, and technological innovation in China, founded by Emperor Taizu, Zhao Kuangyin. It saw the invention of gunpowder, magnetic compasses, and movable type printing. The dynasty was divided into the Northern Song (capital: Bianjing) and Southern Song (capital: Lin'an), eventually falling to the Mongols.
