French Egyptian revival champleve necklace.

Fabulous necklace choker, created in France in the late 19th century, circa 1880. This beautiful piece has been crafted in the Egyptian revival style with braided parts of silver  embellished with application of color enamels in the French champleve technique (cloisonne). The front part of the choker is made up of two intertwining snakes. Their eyes are decorated with four round red garnets. Fitted in front with an integrated discrete push boed security lock. An exceptional rare piece with wonderful craftsmanship.
