Mitsuo Kaji, born in 1944 into a family of jewelry and watch dealers, Kaji-San became a pop singer at an early age, having signed with Columbia japan record, despite his parent's reservations. One of his songs Seishun no Jokamachi was a great hit, and the young entertainer soon appeared in tv and films; however, he had promised his father that he would eventually return to the fold of the family business. Faithful to his word, Kaji-San decided to apply his showmanship to the world of fine jewelry thereby establishing an original ‘voice’ and style in the Japanese jewelry world since 1983.
Mitsuo Kaji’s passion for French enamel portraiture drove him to become one of Japan’s most revered jewelry designer. He is the maestro whose lyrical creative approach shapes each and every one of his highly unique pieces. From homage to women expressed through enameled portraits of inspiring ladies to spectacular jewels incorporating rare gems with high carats: each rendition is a showstopper like nothing you have ever seen before. Note: Aquamarine gemstones are the birthstone of March. In ancient period, the Greeks and Romans thought of aquamarine as the sailor’s gem. They believed the blue gem would protect the travelers during storms while traveling across the seas. Ancient cultures also thought aquamarine was a token of love between dating and married couples. Now, it’s the official gemstone to celebrate a 19th marriage anniversary.
This ring is in perfect condition, is accompanied by the designer's jewelry box and the certificate of authenticity.
