VAN CLEEF & ARPELS 1970 Paris Bombe Ring In 18Kt Gold Diamonds And Chrysoprase

Bombe ring designed by Van Cleef & Arpels.

This is a vintage bombe ring created in Paris France, circa 1970's. It was crafted by the house of Van Cleef & Arpels in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and embellished with two fancy cabochons cuts carved from natural green chrysoprase. Embellished with twelve white colorless diamonds. This design was made from the late deco period, originally patented in 1948 and produced until 1975. Models in onyx, coral and chalcedony also exist.

Diamonds: Mounted in pave settings, with 12 well matched round brilliant cuts diamonds, with a total weight of about 0.60 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-1 clarity.

Birthstone: Chrysoprase for the month of May.

Weight: 7.95 grams, (5.09 Dwt).

Size: 7.5 and may be sized up or down on special request.

Measures: 22.5 mm with a width of 9.2 mm. 

Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; the eagle's head for the assay and warranty of the 18kt yellow gold, the maker's cartouche, VCA, and signed in full as follows, "VAN CLEEF & ARPELS 18 KT COPYRIGHTS OCT 48".

Collateral: This Van Cleef & Arpels ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this Van Cleef & Arpels ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear there is no damage to the gold and the 14 gemstones are secured in the settings. This ring was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
