A horse ring designed by David Webb (1925-1975).

Beautiful and iconic cocktail ring, created in New York city back in the 1970 at the jewelry atelier of David Webb. This statement ring was carefully crafted in the stylized shape of a horse in solid rich yellow gold of 18 karats and parts in platinum for the setting of the diamonds. The entire body is embellished with shiny perfect white enamel and the body is mounted with a great selection of natural earth mined gemstones.

Diamonds: Mounted in a flush pave setting, with 29 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 1.74 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-1 clarity.

Rubies: Mounted in bezel settings, with 2 round cabochon red rubies, 0.20 carats.

Weight: 17.45 grams (11.19 Dwt.).

Size: 6.25, can be only downsized. Fitted with a spring sizer.

Measurements: 28 mm by 12 mm (1.10 x 0.47 Inches) and raise 13 mm over the finger.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the designer's maker mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and platinum and signed, "©WEBB 18KT PLAT".

David Webb 

He was an American jeweler. On July 28, 1948, he founded David Webb, the company, which opened at 2 West 46th Street. Among his clients were Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis  and Barbara Streisand and Beyoncé have also worn his jewelry. Born in Asheville, North Carolina in 1925, Webb was a self-taught designer whose work included dragon bracelets, Maltese cross brooches and animal motifs. In 1964, The Duke of Windsor purchased a bracelet for his wife. Diana Vreeland, a noted columnist and editor of Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, was often seen with a David Webb black-and-white enamel zebra bangle.

ConditionThe overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The diamonds are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
