Cocktail ring Designed by David Webb (1925-1975).

Gorgeous modernist cocktail ring, created in New York city at the jewelry atelier of David Webb, back in the 1970. This ring has been designed with bold and sharp geometric patterns and carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and platinum. It is embellished with a great selection of natural earth mined gemstones. Webb's jewelry from this period are very rare and great collector's pieces.

Diamonds: Mount in flat prongs settings, with 14 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 2.80 carats, white colorless F color, VS-2/SI-1 clarity.

Sapphire: Mount in the center in a bezel setting, with 1 oval cabochon cut (12 x 11 x 10 mm) of a natural blue star sapphire of 14.38 carats.

Birthstone: Sapphire for the month of September.

Weight: 22.70 Grams, (14.55 Dwt.).

Size: 5 and can be easily resized. Fitted with a spring sizer for comfort.

Measurements: 23 mm by 18 mm (0.91 x 0.71 Inches) and raise 15 mm over the finger

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the marks for the assay of the gold and and the platinum and signed, "©WEBB PLAT 18 KT".

David Webb 

He was an iconic American jeweler. On July 28, 1948, he founded David Webb, the company, which opened at 2 West 46th Street. Among his clients were Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis  and Barbara Streisand and Beyoncé have also worn his jewelry. Born in Asheville, North Carolina in 1925, Webb was a self-taught designer whose work included dragon bracelets, Maltese cross brooches and animal motifs. In 1964, The Duke of Windsor purchased a bracelet for his wife. Diana Vreeland, a noted columnist and editor of Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, was often seen with a David Webb black-and-white enamel zebra bangle.
