An art-deco platinum ring with moonstone and diamonds.

This is an amazing beautiful ring created in America during the art deco period, between the 1925 and 1930. The ring was handcrafted with classic patterns in solid .900/.999 platinum with iridium and polished finish. It is embellished in the center with one oval star blue-moonstone with great chatoyancy, which is surrounded by twenty-four natural rose cuts diamonds.

Chatoyancy

In gemology, is an optical reflectance effect seen in certain gemstones. Coined from the French "œil de chat", meaning "cat's eye", chatoyancy arises either from the fibrous structure of a material, as in tiger’s eye quartz, or from fibrous inclusions or cavities within the stone, as in cat's eye chrysoberyl or moonstones.

Star Blue Moonstone

This is a type of moonstone known for its rare blue star effect (asterism) and adularescence (milky glow), carries deep lore from ancient times, linked to lunar deities, intuition, fertility, and protection for travelers, with legends from Rome, India, and Greece, and remains a prized gem from Sri Lanka, India, and Madagascar, symbolizing new beginnings and feminine power.
