CARTIER 1970 By Dinh Van Cocktail Ring In 18Kt & Platinum With 1.20 Cts Diamonds

Oval cocktail ring designed by Dinh Van for Cartier.

This is a fantastic and very rare cocktail ring created in Paris France by Jean Dinh Van for the jewelry house of Cartier, back in 1970. The sculptural cocktail ring was crafted with geometric patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with polished finish and a .900/.999 platinum ocal section for the settings of the brilliant cuts diamonds. The ring is embellished with a great assortment of twenty-two natural white colorless diamonds. This rare ring is very special, since we have not been able to locate another one like this, only similar examples with others color gemstones, such; lapis lazuli and rosewood.

Diamonds: The center platinum setting is mounted in a French pave, with 22 calibrated round brilliant cuts diamonds, with a total weight of about 1.20 carats, E/F color, VVS1 clarity.

Weight: 9.85 grams, (6.35 Dwt).

Size: 5.5 and may be sized up or down on special request.

Measures: 16 mm by 20 mm, (0.63 x 0.79 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the five-digits serial numbers, the mark for the assay and warranty of the .750/.999 gold and the platinum and signed as follows, "DINH VAN CARTIER 18KT IRID PLAT 84798".

Jean Dinh Van

He was a French designer that began is successful career in the 1960 designing for the French jewelry houses of Cartier and Pierre Cardin. In 1972 he started his own company and the followed years his revolutionary designs and style caught on quickly and launched him to the forefront of the jewelry and fashion world. All his designs are very geometric and modern, both, his original vintage pieces created for Cartier and the contemporary creations are highly collectible. Dinh Van pieces are very fashionable, sophisticate and easy to wear, also can be displayed as a small toys, sculptures and "Objects du Vertu".

Condition: The overall condition of this Cartier ring by Dinh Van is excellent. Besides the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The 22 diamonds are secured in their settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
