Gorgeous suite of cufflinks and shirt studs, created in New York city by Jean Schlumberger at the Tiffany Studios, back in the 1970's. This vintage set is composed by five pieces and were made up with the iconic Schlumberger spike shapes. Carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished and textured finishes.

Gemstones: Mount in bezel settings, with 7 spherical cabochon cuts carved from natural Hungarian green malachite.

Birthstone: Malachite for the month of May.

Weight: 24.35 Grams, (15.62 Dwt).

Measurements: 32 mm by 12 mm (1.26 x 0.47 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "TIFFANY & CO. SCHLUMBERGER STUDIOS .750 18kt 14kt".

Jean Schlumberger

He was asked in 1956 by the president of Tiffany & Co. Walter Hovin to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger design's at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller.

Collateral: They are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this suite is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The malachite gems are secured in the settings. These cufflinks has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
