French circus monkey’s brooch in the manner of Bernard Zweig.
This is an antique Circus Monkeys brooch made in France around 1900. This brooch is unique and features two circus monkeys, meticulously crafted in silver, and embellished with fifty-nine earth mined natural gemstones, such; diamonds, emeralds, and rubies. One of the playful primates sits gracefully on a horizontal bar made of solid yellow gold and adorned with two white pearls. From this golden perch, another monkey dangles, holding onto an articulated double chain with delightful agility. The origin of this model of brooches were originally designed by Bernard Zweig in the turn of the 20th century.
