French-Austrian 1920 Art Deco Jardiniere Pendant Brooch With Carved Agates & Diamonds

Art deco jardiniere pendant brooch.

Marvelous colorful piece with great eye appeal, created during the art-deco period, back in the 1920. This beautiful jardiniere style pendant and brooch has been carefully assembled with several parts crafted in .900/.999 platinum and .800/.999 silver. All elements has been meticulously placed over a sterling silver platform, attached from the back with seven screws and eight rivets. It is fitted at the reverse, with one bail to wear as a pendant in a chain and a hinged horizontal pin bar to wear as a brooch. The construction of this piece is exceptionally made and we can attribute this to a work by the Parisian atelier of Strauss, Allard & Meyer.

Diamonds: The platinum floral parts are mounted with a mix of 16 round European and rose cut diamonds, with a total weight of 1.21 carats, F color, VS-2 clarity.

Gemstones: An array of seven pieces carved from natural precious gemstones of color agates of mustard and orange.

Weight: 12.85 Grams, (8.23 Dwt).

Measurements: 36 mm by 38 mm by 9 mm (1.42 x 1.50 x 0.35 Inches).

Hallmarks: Tested for .900/.999 platinum and .800/.999 silver.

Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
