ART DECO 1920 Jadeite Jade Buddha Clip-Brooch In Platinum & Rose Cut Diamonds

An art-deco jadeite Buddha clip-brooch with diamonds.

This is a gorgeous clip-brooch created in America, with orientalism motifs during the art deco period, back in the 1920. The fabulous brooch has been designed as a Buddhist altar and masterfully crafted in solid .900/.999 platinum. The mounting is embellished in the center with the standing figure of Buddha carved in a single piece of gorgeous green jadeite-jade, which is surrounded by seventy-five old European rose cuts diamonds. The brooch is fitted at the reverse with a vertical hinged flat slash to wear as a clip in the flap.

Jadeite Jade: Mount in five prongs setting, with 1 fancy cut carving (18 x 12 x 4 mm) in the shape of a standing happy Buddha carved from natural jadeite green jade with a weight of about 7.79 carats.

Diamonds: Mount in pave settings, with 75 calibrated European rose cuts diamonds, with a total weight of about 1.36 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS clarity.

Weight: 10.5 Grams, (6.75 Dwt). 

Measurements: 44 mm by 17 mm (1.73 x 0.67 Inches).

Hallmarks: Unmarked, electronically tested for .900/.999 platinum.
