FRENCH 1920 Ring In 18Kt Gold & Platinum With 1.77 Ctw Burmese Rubies And Diamonds
French art deco ring designed by C. FRERES.
This a superb and delicate ring, created in Paris France during the art deco period, back in the 1920-1924. The fabulous ring has been carefully crafted at the jewelry atelier of C. Freres in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with platinum parts for the settings of the diamonds. The ring is serially numbered 8428 and is embellished with a great assortment of earth mined natural gemstones, such; white colorless diamonds and Burmese rubies. The craftmanship is exceptional, well proportionate and the selection, cuts and quality of the gemstones are stunning
Diamonds: Mount om a pave setting, with 23 graduated European round cuts diamonds, with about 0.92 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS clarity
Rubies: Mount in a millegrain channel setting, with 34 French calibre cuts of natural Burmese vivid red rubies, with about 0.85 carats.
Birthstone: Ruby for the month of July.
Weight: 3.6 Grams, (2.35 Dwt).
Size: 6 and can be sized on special request.
Measurements: 16 mm by 19 mm (0.63 x 0.75 Inches) and raise 4 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; the maker's mark C. FRERES inside a lozenge cartouche, the mark of the eagle's head for the assay and warranty of the 18Kt gold and the four-digits serial numbers 8428. (The serial number is attributed to Cartier)
Collateral: This art deco ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The 57 gemstones are secured in their settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
