An art deco desk clock designed by Lacloche Frères.
This is a beautiful and impressive desk clock created in Paris France during the art deco period, between 1920 and 1924. The amazing luxury clock was designed with geometric patterns by the jewelry house of Lacloche-Freres and carefully crafted with parts made up of solid yellow gold of 18 karats and silver. Embellished with applications of black and white lacquer, and mounted with twelve round cabochons, carved from black onyx.

Dial: Squared with black lacquer, gold Arabic numbers and gold minutes and hours hands.
Materials: Yellow gold of 18 karats, silver, white lacquer, black lacquer, onyxes and crystal.
Onyx: Mounted in bezel settings, with 12 well matched round cabochon cut of black onyx.
Weight: 711.75 Grams, (456.25 Dwt.), (0.72 Kg.).
Measurements: H. 110.5 mm x L. 132 mm by D. 89 mm (4.35 x 5.20 x 3.5 Inches).
Hallmarks: All parts are stamped with French marks, three times with the maker's mark LF inside a lozenge cartouche associated to Lacloche Freres, five times with the marks of the eagle head for the assay and warranty of the 18Kt yellow gold, the four-digits serial numbers, the case reference and signed in full as follows, "LACLOCHE FRERES 1034 874". In addition is stamped with British imports mark for the city of London, the importer mark GS for George Stockwell & Co. and the gothic letter O for the assay date of 1929.

Lacloche Frères
From the Belle Époque to the 1960s, the jewelry creations from the Parisian firm Lacloche Frères adorned over four generations of crowned heads, including Queen Victoria of England, the Duchess of Westminster, the kings of Greece and Siam, and Grace Kelly. Founded in Paris in 1901 by three brothers, Lacloche Frères sold jewelry created by the best Parisian workshops, including Strauss Allard Meyer, Verger, Helluin-Matlinger, and Langlois, and was renowned for its elegant designs and exquisite workmanship. Their tiaras, bracelets, pins, clocks, and ladies' accessories (vanities, cigarette cases) embodied the spirit of Art Nouveau and Art Deco, and are some of their best-known pieces.
