Geometric cubist wristwatch designed by Serge Manzon for Longines.

An iconic cubist design wristwatch, created in Switzerland by the Longines Watch Co. back in the 1973. The wristwatch was designed by Serge Manzon (1930-1998) and carefully crafted with a bold massive look in solid .925/.999 sterling silver with high polished finish. It is a reference 5015 large sterling silver quartz movement with flexible block hinged lugs and brown rectangular dial. The watch has the original crown with Longines logo. The watch retains the original alligator leather strap and sterling silver tang buckle is also sterling.

Serge Manzon

Serge Manzon was a French Paris-based postwar and contemporary artist who was born in 1930. He began his career as a diamond seller and film producer. Later he designed furniture, jewellery, watches, clothing and a range of fashion accessories. He is completely self-taught in terms of acquiring his design knowledge. In 1973, at the Basel Fair, Longines presented the “Serge Manzon Collection”, comprising different wristwatches in silver. In 1972, he created specially for Longines a series of solid silver watches. Even today, these avant-garde designs remain a source of inspiration for not a few watch manufacturers. One year later, a Longines model called Prototype won the coveted Prize of the City of Geneva award.
