Joséphine Imperiale Collection
The Joséphine Aigrette Impériale earrings are both refined and resolutely feminine and reinterpret the emblematic pear cut of the Maison. Empress Joséphine’s preferred cut is adopted by Chaumet to pay tribute to its timeless muse with grace and character. Modern and free, Empress Joséphine has inspired Chaumet graceful and characterful creations for over two centuries. The Maison's first great client, this strong-willed woman who turned sovereign for love, has invented a style combining elegance and audacity. An aesthetic that drives today's collections. The house of Chaumet
The French born jeweler, Marie-Etienne Ninot began his career as an assistant court-jeweler to the queen Marie Antoinette. In 1780, he moved to Paris and founded the House of Chaumet, and was appointed as jeweler to emperor Napoleon in 1802. During this period, Ninot became one of the most popular jewelers in Europe, establishing a loyal and continuous prestigious clientele. today the house remains as a luxury jewelry house under the name Chaumet Paris. At the beginning of the modernist era between the end of the 60's and the beginning of the 70's, many jewelry houses, such as Cartier, Kutchinsky and Chaumet experimented with exceptional modernist designs, this brooch is one of them which we consider magnificent and very elegant.
