Wells Co 1930 Enameled Guilloche Round Pill Box In .925 Sterling Silver
An art deco guilloche enamel pill box made by Wells & Company.
Very cute enamel round pill box, created during the art deco period, back in the 1930. This beautiful antique piece was carefully crafted at the workshops of the Wells Company in solid .925/.999 standard silver with a twisted lid. White enameled in the interior and embellished on top with engine turned guilloche decoration with applications of translucent pale white enamel and rose flowers garlands.
Weight: 17.50 Grams, (11.22 Dwt).
Measurements: Diameter of 34 mm and a height of 17 mm (1.34 x 0.67 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark W associated to Wells, the mark for the assay of the silver and signed, "WELLS STERLING".

Wells & Co. was founded in 1922 by Raymond L. Wellswere. They was a jewelery company operating between 1922-1978 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, USA. Their range of charms and enameled boxes branded ‘Top Hat Sterling Silver Charms’, is identified by WELLS STER. stamp, sometimes with a top hat containing the letter ‘W’.
Guilloché
