Nubian Prince pendant-Brooch carved in Ebony.
A beautiful vintage piece of jewelry made in Venice Italy during the mid-century period, back in the 1950's. This three-dimensional Nubian prince pendant brooch, was crafted with gorgeous details in yellow gold of 18 karats and .800/.999 silver. It is suited with a hinged double pins to wear as a brooch and a discrete round hook to wear in a chain.
The head is carved from a single piece of natural black Ebony wood and display a beautiful highly detailed face.
The prince is dressed with rich ropes and a turban, extensively decorated with baroque incised patterns and is embellished with natural diamonds and colored gemstones. They are described as follow;
20 Round Brilliant cut Diamonds, 0.60 Carats.
21 Round vivid Red Rubies, 1.55 Carats.
1 Round Green Emeralds, .06 Carats.
3 Round Blue Sapphires, .07 Carats.
2 Rondelle beads of Purple Amethyst, 0.30 Carats,
Has a total weight of 26.6 grams and a measure of 60 mm by 28 mm by 24 mm (2.36 x 1.10 x 0.95 Inches).
Excellent carving with great craftsmanship. A very nice representation of a Nubian prince with beautiful details and in great vintage condition.
