Kensington long earrings designed by Verdura.

Beautiful drop earrings crafted in Milan Italy by the famous jewelry house of Verdura. These iconic pair of Kensington earrings has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish and fitted with movable French hooks for pierced ears.

Diamonds: Bezel set with 4 round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.72 carats, D color, VVS-1 clarity. Bezel mount 4 emerald cut diamonds, 0.30 carats, D color, VVS-1 clarity.

Weight: 15.3 Grams, (9.81 Dwt).

Measurements: 60 mm by 26 mm (2.36 x 1.02 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the Italian gold assay mark and signed, "VERDURA .750".

Duke Fulco Di Verdura (1899-1978), start his career as a designer in Paris in 1920, Creating the iconic Maltese cross cuff bracelet for his friend Coco Chanel. In the 1934 he moved to the United States and closely collaborate with Paul Flato in California, designing jewelry for the Hollywood stars of the new movie era, including Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich. In the 1939, he moved again, but this time to the city of New York and open the Verdura boutique, in the Fifth Avenue location. in that period Verdura gain the estimation of the very high-profile clientele in the new York's high society.

Note: This model was originally inspired by the intricate ironwork of the gates surrounding London’s parks. The house of Verdura adapted the familiar pattern in the 1940s for his cigarette cases and bracelets. Today, the Kensington design is reimagined as this pair of pendant earrings.
