*Verdura Milan tendril flames sculptural earrings in solid 18 kt yellow gold
Beautiful pair of ear-clips designed by Verdura.
A rare pair of ear-clips, created by Fulco Verdura in the shape of flames. They are called "Tenfril Flames" and has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish
Suited at the reverse, with comfortable hinged omega backs for fastening clips and the optional posts for pierced ears can be easily added.
They have a combined weight of 22.5 grams and a measures of 24 mm (0.95 inches) by 23 mm (0.90 inch).
Each one is stamped at the reverse with; the maker's mark, the company logo, the serial numberS and signed, "VERDURA VFC10085 .750 1103MI".
The Duke Fulco Di Verdura (1899-1978) start his career as a designer in Paris in 1920, Creating the iconic Maltese cross cuff bracelet for his friend Coco Chanel. In the 1934 he moved to the United States and closely collaborate with Paul Flato in California, designing jewelry for the Hollywood stars of the new movie era, including Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich.
In the 1939, he moved again, but this time to the city of New York and open the Verdura boutique, in the Fifth Avenue location. in that period Verdura gain the estimation of the very high-profile clientele in the new York's high society.
They are in perfect condition and are accompanied by the designer’s jewelry box.
