Very rare vintage cocktail ring, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Van Cleef & Arpels, back in the 1970. This beautiful ring has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with textured and polished finish. Designed with very classic patterns and mount with a great assortment of natural earth mined white diamonds
Diamonds: Mount in a French pave setting, with 42 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 3.46 carats, white colorless D/E Color, VVS-1 Clarity.
Pearl: Mount on top, with 1 cultured semi round golden pearl of 13.2 mm, from the South Seas.
Weight: 15.70 Grams, (10.05 Dwt).
Size: 7 sizeable.
Measurements: 21 mm by 24 mm (0.83 X 0.96 Inches) and raise 14 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; the head of the eagle for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold, the serial numbers and signed, "VAN CLEEF & ARPELS NY 59982".
Golden South Sea Pearls
Golden South Sea pearls are among the largest, most valuable pearls produced today. They are grown in the gold-lip variety of the Pinctada maxima, South Sea pearl oyster. Their warm, golden tones are completely natural, and no treatments are needed to enjoy the beauty of these luxurious gems. Golden South Sea pearls, much like white South Sea pearls, are typically larger than other saltwater pearl varieties. Their host shell is the largest pearl-producing oyster, and is able to grow a very large pearl. As with other saltwater oysters, the Pinctada maxima is bead-nucleated. However, the growth period is approximately 2-4 years, unlike the akoya pearls, which develop in one to two years, and Tahitian pearls which develop in under two years.
