VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Paris Stylized Cat Brooch In 18Kt Gold With Precious Carvings
A stylized cat brooch designed by Van Cleef & Arpels.
This is a fabulous brooch created in Paris by the French jewelry house of Van Cleef & Arpels, back in the 1990's. The large brooch has been crafted in the shape of a stylized cat looking back, in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished with several polished gemstones carved from natural black onyx, tiger eye quartz. The brooch is decorated with the perlee Maison's signature beaded contour that enhances the curves with elegance. The cat is fitted at the reverse with a hinge with two double pins bars and a trombone security lock. As a note this model was produced in very limited quantities in three sizes; small, medium and large. This is the large version and actually is an important collector's piece.

Condition: The overall condition of this brooch by Van Cleef & Arpels is excellent. Beside the little normal wear there is no damage to the gold. All parts and the 6 gemstones are secured in their settings and was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
