Gorgeous Creoles parure designed by Van Cleef & Arpels.
Very handsome and rare set made in Paris France by the house of Van Cleef & Arpels, back in the 1970's. This one-of-a-kind suite is called "Creoles" and was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with textured fluted patterns. It is embellished, with four elements carved from natural white coral, with a cornucopia motifs and the necklace links are fully flexible and suited with an oval fold over security lock at the end.
Mounted, with an impeccable French pave setting of 52 round brilliant cuts diamonds, with a combined weight of 2.86 carats, D/E color, VVS-1 clarity.
The necklace have a weight of 50.8 grams and the earrings 9.8 grams.
The lenght of the necklace is 15 inches (38 Cm) and the drop element have a measures of 46 mm by 27 mm (1.81 x 1.07 inches).
The clips-earrings are semi rounds, with a diameter of almost an inch, 21 mm (0.83 inches).
All pieces are stamped, with French hallmarks; the national eagle's head for the assay and the guarantee of the 18kt, the maker's maitre cartouche Ste MC, the unique serial numbers, the production year and signed, "VCA OR 750 76 B4138V20" for the necklace and "VCA 76 OR.750 B3058V3" for the earrings.
All pieces are in perfect condition and are very unusual to see still as a suite.
