VERY RARE AND UNUSUAL PENDANT DESIGNED BY VAN CLEEF & ARPELS. MADE AT THE NEW YORK CITY ATELIER DURING THE MID CENTURY PERIOD, AROUND THE 1964. HAND CRAFTED IN SOLID 18 KARATS OF HEAVY TEXTURED YELLOW GOLD. IS SUITED AT TOP WITH A MOVABLE 12 mm LOOP TO BE HANG INTO A CHAIN.
AN INTERESTING ABSTRACT SCULPTURAL COMPOSITION CREATED WITH A HIGHLY CORRUGATED SURFACE WITH TWO TRIANGLES IN THE CENTER COUNTERPOSITS EACH OTHER. THIS PIECE HAVE VERY SIMILAR PATTERN TO THE VCA BROOCH PRESENTED TO NEIL AMSTRONG AFTER HIS FAMOUS MISSION ABOARD THE APOLLO 11.
PRONG SET IN THE CENTER WITH 6 VERY FINE ROUND BRILLIANT CUT DIAMONDS, 0.48 Ctw, D/E COLOR, VVS-1 CLARITY. THE GEMSTONES ARE ARRANGED CREATING TWO TRIANGLES.
THIS PIECE IS PRETTY HEAVY AND HAVE A WEIGHT OF 45.3 Grams. THE MAIN PIECE HAVE A MEASURES OF 60 (2.4 Inch) mm BY 45 mm (1.8 Inch) AND A DROP MEASURE OF 72 mm. IS STAMPED WITH THE HALL MARKS "VCA NY 18 K 16 V 392 - 3". GREAT PIECE WITH NICE EYE APPEAL.
