Bombe cocktail ring designed by Van Cleef & Arpels.
A vintage modernist ring, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Van Cleef & Arpels, back in the 1970. This beautiful ring was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished on top with a piece with ribbed lines, carved from natural palisander wood. This piece was part of the Osaka collection, produced by the house of Van Cleef & Arpels between the 1966 and the 1973.
Diamond: Mount on top in a bezel setting, with 1 round brilliant cut diamond of .05 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-1 clarity.
Weight: 7.85 Grams, (5.03 Dwt).
Size: 6.25, cannot be enlarged only downsized with a spring or spheres sizers.
Measurements: 22 mm by 14 mm (0.87 x 0.55 Inches) and raise 6 mm over the finger
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; the eagle head for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche Ste. JTB associated to the atelier of Jean-Thierry Bond, the serial numbers and signed, "VCA © OR .750 B5567B3 Ste. JTB".
Note: The master jeweler Jean-Thierry Bondt workshop atelier was located in Paris 2 at 19 Rue de Choiseul, he collaborate with Van Cleef & Arpels between the 1960’s and 1970’s, the workshop operations was ceased in the 2006.
Collateral: This ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is exceptional. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The wood carving and the diamond are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
