*Van Cleef & Arpels 1970 Paris Retro massive ropes bracelet in solid 18 kt yellow gold
A very rare Ropes bracelet designed by Van Cleef & Arpels.
Oversized and impressive piece created in Paris, France by the house of Van Cleef & Arpels in the late 60's early 70's. This fabulous bracelet was crafted in in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with an intricate rope patterns with multiple Hercules knots. It is composed by 8 articulated links and suited with a double sided push lock, with a hinged figure 8 for extra security.
Have a total weight of 128.8 grams and a lenght of 7.25 inches (18.4 Cm). the width measure is 48 mm (1.89 inches).
When is on and closed, form a squared shape.
Stamped with French hallmarks; several times with the national eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt, the maker's maitre cartouche, the serial numbers and signed, "VCA 2V747-3".
Note; The identical bracelet, but serially numbered 2V747-1 was offered and sold at Sotheby's, New York Important Jewels, Lot-13 on February 9 2012.
It is in perfect condition with gorgeous look.
