An elegant and classic pair of convertible door knocker earrings, made in Paris France around the 1980's at the Andre Vassort atelier. They are crafted in 18 karats of high polished yellow gold and suited with French omega backs for fastening clips, the posts option for pierced ears can be easily added.
Vertically set, with three rows, of 44 calibrated round brilliants cuts diamonds, 2.26 carats, D/E color, VS-1 clarity.
Have a total weight of 31.5 grams and a drop measure of 24 mm (0.95 inches) and 16 mm (0.63 inches) at the widest part. The entire drop measures, with the hanging red knockers is 45 mm.
Stamped, with very clear French hallmarks; the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche AV, for Andre Vassort, the serial numbers and signed, "VCA OR .750 18 KT 03363A801-85".
Note: The Mo. Andre Vassort atelier, was located in Paris 2, 34 rue Sainte Anne. He collaborate very closely with VCA between the 1950’s and 1980’s, the workshop operations was ceased in the 1990's.
Note: The maker’s cartouche AV, is associated to the early mark for the master jeweler, maitre Andre Vassort.
Collateral: They are accompanied by 1 alternative set of carved knocker. The leather pouch and the designer jewelry box is included.
Condition: The overall condition of this earrings is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
