*Van Cleef & Arpels 1960 Paris Alhambra Cocktail Ring in 18Kt Platinum with 9.12 Cts in Diamonds & Emeralds
Gorgeous cocktail Ring designed by Van Cleef & Arpels.
A rare and exceptional early Alhambra piece, made in Paris France by the jewelry house of Van Cleef & Arpels during the late mid-century period, back in the 1960's. This one-of-a-kind colorful cocktail ring was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with textured floriated patterns. The top part for the diamonds settings is made up in .900/.999 platinum. It is embellished with a beautiful selection of top quality gemstones.
Mounted, with a fabulous pave setting, composed by 22 graduated (.45-0.20 cts) round brilliant cut diamonds, with a combined weight of 6.84 carats, D/E color, VVS-1 clarity.
Bezel set on top, with one oval cabochon cut (5 x 7 x 4 mm) of a natural vivid green Colombian emerald of 1.16 carats and at the sides in a four-prongs settings, with 8 round faceted cut of Emeralds, with a combined weight of an extra 1.12 carats.
Has a total weight of 11.8 Grams and the actual size is 6.75, sizeable. The top view measurements are 26 mm by 23 mm (1.02 x 0.90 Inches).
Stamped, with beautiful French hallmarks; the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18kt gold, the dog's head for the assay of the platinum, the maker's maitre cartouche P Et Fils (Perry and sons) inside a lozenge, the serial numbers and signed in full, "VAN CLEEF & ARPELS 17537".
