A rare treasure gold doubloon from the Spanish Empire.

This is an exceptional gold two-escudos doubloon coin from the Spanish Imperial period. Struck during the 17th century, between the 1621 and the 1665 under the kingdom of the king Philip III of Spain. This doubloon gold coin was struck with a gold purity of .921 parts of .999 (22 karats) and have an average weight of 6.87 grams. It is mounted in a heavy and bold custom-made frame, masterfully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and fitted on top with a 10mm round bale to wear in a chain or a bracelet.

The coin is perfectly struck, almost round with outstanding sharp details. The cross of Jerusalem and the Spanish coat of arms with four Fleurs De Lys are complete, well centered and fully visible.

Weight: The frame mounting and the coin together is 18.95 grams, (12.15 Dwt.).

Measures: 38 mm by 27 mm, (1.50 x 1.06 Inches). 

Hallmarks: The frame is stamped at the reverse, with the maker's mark (for Michael’s Treasure Coins of Key West), the mark for the assay and warranty of the .750/.999 gold and signed as follows; "Crowned MM 18KT"
