Very unusual pair of clips-on earrings created in New York city, by the jewelry company of Tishman & Lipp, back in the 1960. These pair have been crafted with multiples spikes as a sputnik made up from twisted wires of 18 karats yellow gold. They are fitted at the reverse with French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily done.

Measurements: 20 mm by 20 mm (0.79 x 0.79 Inches).
Hallmarks: They are each stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "T&LI 18KT".
Tishman & Lipp.
The jewelry company Tishman & Lipp, Inc. was founded in 1950 by Irving Tishman & Leo Lipp, in New York City. They worked primarily in gold before closing in 1985. Tishman & Lipp formed Corletto Inc. in 1963, in partnership with Oreste Corletto of Italy. The company was among the first U.S. manufacturers to import a full collection of Italian merchandise for resale to the retail trade. Tishman & Lipp also imported watches and was the first and main distributor of Ebel watches in the United States.
