Square cocktail ring designed by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co.

This vintage cocktail ring was created by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co. back in the 1985. The sculptural bold ring is the largest version and was carefully crafted with a cushioned two levels shape in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished with one natural earth mined vivid purple amethyst. These early jewelry pieces by Paloma Picasso are highly collectable and very difficult to get in the market.

Amethyst: Mount on top in a bezel setting, with 1 squared cushion faceted cut (16 x 16 x 10 mm) of a natural Brazilian purple amethyst of about 13.67 carats.

Birthstone: Amethyst for the month of February.

Weight: 23.5 grams. (15.10 Dwt).

Size: 6.5 and may be sized up or down on special request.

Measurements: 27 mm by 25 mm (0.91 x 0.79 Inches) and raise 12 mm over the finger.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold and signed in full as follows, "©TIFFANY & CO. 18KT PALOMA PICASSO 1985".

Paloma Picasso

She was the daughter of the artists Pablo Picasso and Françoise Gilot. Paloma has been a creative force since the day she was born. Growing up in France, she was surrounded by art and was always encouraged to create herself, which she did with great enthusiasm—firstly, with childhood drawings and, later, through her now iconic jewelry collections for tiffany. Embodying the art and culture movement of the 1980s in New York city, Paloma was a progressive choice for Tiffany & Co.

Collateral: This Paloma Picasso ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

ConditionThe overall condition of this Tiffany & Co. ring by Paloma Picasso is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The amethyst is secured in the settings. This ring has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
