A sculptural piece, designed by Picasso in New York city at the Tiffany Studios, back in the 1980's. This bold cocktail ring was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with very high polish finish.
Bezel set on top with one oval faceted cut (12 x 16 x 8 mm) of a natural vivid purple amethyst of 9.14 carats.
Has a total weight of 15.5 grams and the actual size is 7, sizable. The top view measurements of 19 mm by 24mm and raise 9mm over the finger.
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed, "TIFFANY & CO. 18 KT PALOMA PICASSO".
Paloma Picasso was the Daughter of the artists Pablo Picasso and Françoise Gilot. Paloma has been a creative force since the day she was born. Growing up in France, she was surrounded by art and was always encouraged to create herself, which she did with great enthusiasm—firstly, with childhood drawings and, later, through her now iconic jewelry collections for tiffany.
