Very popular and iconic pieces, created in New York city by Schlumberger at the Tiffany Studios, back in the 1970's. These beautiful earrings has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and finished with textured surfaces. They are suited with posts (Removable) and comfortable omega backs for fastening clips.
Embellished with multiples geometric stripes, applied with black hot enamel and a pair of Akoya white pearls of 9.2 mm.
They have a combined weight of 22.8 Grams and a measurements of 22 mm by 21 mm.
Both are stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed "TIFFANY & CO. SCHLUMBERGER .750".
Jean Schlumberger, was asked in 1956 by the president of Tiffany & Co. Walter Hovin to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger design's at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller.
