A pair of earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co.
Beautiful and youthful pair of organics earrings created by Cummings for Tiffany & Co, back in the 1976. They are part of the collection from the 1976-1977 and has been crafted in 18 karats yellow gold, displaying two elements in the shape of petals, carved from natural white-cream nacre.
Suited, with posts for pierced ears and omega backs for fastening clips.
Have total weight of 13.6 grams and a measures of 25.2 mm by 25.1 mm.
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed in full; "TIFFANY & CO.", "C", HONG KONG .750".
Angela Cummings, was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
They are in perfect condition.
