Red flower brooch designed by Elsa Peretti (1940-2021) for Tiffany & Co.

Beautiful piece created by the iconic designer Elsa Peretti for the Tiffany Studios, back in the 1980. This aerodynamic brooch was crafted in the shape of a flower in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish. Embellished with a corrugated piece of red silk imitating the petals. Fitted with at the side with a hinged pin bar with a security lock to wear as a brooch.

Weight: 15.75 Grams (10.01 Dwt.).

Measurements: 115 mm by 40 mm (4.55 x 1.55 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the gold assay mark and signed in full, "TIFFANY & CO. ELSA PERETTI .750 SPAIN".

Elsa Peretti, was a very famous designer that joined Tiffany & Co in the 1974 and change the complete role of diamonds and color gemstones in fashion for the everyday wear and elevating the status of the sterling silver jewelry. mostly using unusual gemstones and materials. all her creations are as modern today as ever.

Note: It is very hard to see with the original red silk attachment, that are usually lost or missing. This has been made in two sizes such small and large. This is the larger version.

ConditionThe overall condition of this brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The red silk is secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
