Iconic and popular bangle cuff designed by Angela Cummings in New York, back in the 1980. It was carefully crafted in one solid piece of 18 karats yellow gold, with high polished surfaces.
The design was conceived using a single semi curved wire, bent into several parts to create the visual effect of warping the wrist,
Have a total weight of 56.5 grams and fit a wrist up to 7 inches (17.75 Cm), the cuff is open so the size can be adjusted a little up or down. The width measure is 36 mm (1.42 inches) at the widest point.
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed in full, "TIFFANY & CO. 1980 18 K C. CUMMINGS".
Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
Very nice collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
