Pair of earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co.

Iconic elegant pair of clips on earrings, created in New York city by Angela Cummings at the Tiffany studios, back in the 1978. These earrings has been crafted with a bombe shape in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are embellished with twenty-four free forms carvings of natural black jade inlaid in the gold. This kind of model is one of the most popular design made by Cummings. This model is actually discontinued. They are fitted at the reverse with omega backs for fastening clips and the posts option for pierced ears can be easily added.

Weight: 16.85 grams (10.77 Dwt.).

Measures: 23 mm by 18 mm by 10 mm (0.91 x 0.71 x 0.40 Inches).

Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker's mark, the serial numbers, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "©TIFFANY & CO. .750 HONG KONG".

Angela Cummings

She was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business. This pair is a very nice collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

Note: We are offering another pair with the same patterns, but with white nacre. These pieces can be also combined in black and white.

Collateral: They are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of these earrings are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The black jades are secured in their settings. This pair has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
