THIS DAMASCENE ORIENTALISM VINTAGE CUFF, IS ONE OF THE EARLY CREATIONS OF CUMMINGS FOR TIFFANY. THE FIRST TIME, WAS PUBLISHED AT THE TIFFANY'S BLUE BOOK CATALOG IN 1978.
THIS WAS CONCEIVED WITH DRAMATIC GEOMETRIC PATTERNS OF CIRCLES OF DIFFERENT SIZES AND TONALITIES. IS COMPLETELY HAND CRAFTED WITH THE DIFFICULT TECHNIQUE OF BLACK PATINATED TEMPLATE STEEL (NIELLO) WITH DAMASCENE INLAIDS OF 18, 22 AND 24, YELLOW GOLD WITH .999 SILVER.
THIS CUFF HAVE A NET WEIGHT OF 24.4 Grams AND FIT A WRIST UP TO 6.75 Inches

ANGELA CUMMINGS WAS BORN IN 1944 IN KLAGENFURT IN AUSTRIA. SHE TAKE HER EDUCATION AT THE ART ACADEMY IN PERUGIA, ITALY AND AT THE ZEICHENAKADEMIE IN HANAU, WEST GERMANY. IN THE 1967 SHE JOINED TIFFANY & CO WORKING UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF DONALD CLAFFIN AND IN THE 1975, SHE WAS THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR FOR HER EXCLUSIVE LINE BRAND CUMMINGS. IN 1984 SHE STARTED HER OWN LINE OF JEWELRY TO BE RETAILED EXCLUSIVELY AT AN IN-BOUTIQUE STORE AT BERGDORF GOODMAN, IN NEW YORK CITY. NOW SHE'S RETIRED FROM THE JEWELRY BUSINESS.
A RARE AND HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE PIECE CRAFTED BY A TECHNIQUE SIMILAR TO THE JAPANESE SHAKUDO, METAL INLAIDS.
