A band ring created in New York city by Jean Schlumberger for the Tiffany Studios, back in the 1970's. This iconic ring, was crafted with five row twisted ropes, made up in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. Accented with 8 elements made in .950/.999 platinum for the setting of the diamonds.
Diamonds: Mount in flush settings, with 56 European round cut diamonds, 0.60 carats, white colorless F color, VS-2 clarity.
Weight: 10.95 Grams, (7.02 Dwt).
Size: 8 and can be only downsized with a spring.
Measurements: The width is mm by 8 mm 0.31 Inch).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the marks for the assay of the gold and the platinum and signed, "TIFFANY & CO. SCHLUMBERGER STUDIOS .750 PT .950".
Jean Schlumberger
He was asked in 1956 by the president of Tiffany & Co. Walter Hovin to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger design's at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller.
