Beautiful vintage pin-brooch made in the shape of a three-dimensional flying queen bee with open wings. The elusive bee brooch is pretty large and was designed at the Tiffany & Co. Studios, back in the 1970. It was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with textured and polished finishes. The bee is embellished with twenty-one earth mined natural gemstones, such; vivid red rubies and one diamond. It is fitted at the reverse with a concealed discrete hinged pin bar with a mechanical twisted security lock, to attach to the cloth or a scarf.
Diamonds: Mount in a six-prongs setting, with 1 round brilliant cut diamond of about 0.12 carats, white colorless F color, VS clarity.
Rubies: Mount in double-prongs settings, with 20 calibrated round faceted cut of natural vivid red rubies, with a combined weight of about 1.69 carats.
Birthstone: Rubies for the month of July.
Weight: 11.85 Grams, (7,60 Dwt).
Measurements: 24 mm by 33 mm by 16 mm (0.95 x 1.30 x 0.63 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold, the five-digits inventory numbers and signed as follow: "TIFFANY & CO. 18KT T 12029".
Collateral: This Queen-bee brooch is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
