Beautiful Spanish gold coin of 1 escudo, mounted in a custom made frame crafted in solid 18 karats yellow gold with high polished finish. Fitted on top with a loop bail to wear in a chain or a charms bracelet.
The coin, is a cob gold one Escudo, struck in 22 karats gold at the Sevilla mint in the name of the Spanish Kings Charles I and Johanna (1516-1556) circa 1545, inclined assayer P. The strike of the coin is superb with bold shield and bold cross, very strong, clear and round.
Weight: 7.9 Grams, (5.06 Dwt).
Measurements: 33 mm by 26 mm (1.31 x 1.02 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark and the gold assay mark, "SS .750".
