Beautiful modern pair of kinetic sculptural earrings designed in Torino, Italy back in the 1989 by the artist and sculptor Sebastiano Balbo. This three-dimensional pieces has been conceived as an unique one-of-a-kind pair, carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished surfaces. They was individually assembled at the artist's studio in Torino.
The design is composed by a curved main body, nailed by multiple movable bended elements, with a flat disc, which moves and rotates creating a kinetic optical illusion.
Have a combined weight of 16.5 grams and a measure of 65 mm by 32 mm 32 (2.56 x 1.28 Inches).
Stamped, with the artist maker's mark, the Italian gold assay hallmarks and signed, "S. BALBO 750 *314TO".
Sebastiano Balbo, born in 1956, is an established Italian artist, from the post war, his creative work was largely influenced by the 1970's. the art sphere of the 70's was characterized by a longing to evolve and strengthen itself, as a response to the many conflicts of the previous decades.
