A NICE AND RARE VINTAGE PIECE FROM THE LATE AMERICAN ART DECO PERIOD. MADE AT THE SEAMAN SCHEPPS ATELIER IN NEW YORK AROUND THE 1950'S. IS CRAFTED FROM COMPLETE PIECE OF NATURAL GREEN JADEITE, CARVED WITH A SHRIMP SCALLOPED SHAPE. EMBELLISHED WITH FOUR TWISTED WIRES MADE OF 18 KARATS YELLOW GOLD.
THE ACTUAL SIZE OF THIS RING IS 6, CAN BE ONLY DOWNSIZED WITH A CUSTOM MADE SPRING ADJUSTER.
THIS PIECE HAVE A TOTAL WEIGHT OF 20.5 Grams AND A MEASURES OF 30 mm BY 22 mm. THIS RAISE ABOVE THE FINGER, 16.5 mm.
A GREAT COLLECTOR'S PIECE IN GREAT CONDITION. THE GREEN JADE JADEITE GEMSTONE IS IN PERFECT CONDITION WITH NO CRACKS.
SEAMAN SCHEPPS WAS AN AMERICAN JEWELER FAMOUS FOR HIS RETRO STYLE, 1950'S JEWELRY DESIGN. THE COMPANY WAS ESTABLISHED IN THE 1905 AS AN ANTIQUE AND RETAILER STORE. IN THE 1931 WAS FOUNDED OFFICIALLY AS A JEWELRY DESIGNER IN NEW YORK AND THE WORKSHOP STORE WAS LOCATED AT 516 IN MADISON AVENUE. IN THE 1933 THE BUSINESS WAS SO SUCCESSFUL THAT THEY MOVED TO A LARGER SHOWROOM AT THE 399 IN THE SAME AVENUE. THE FIRM WAS SOLD IN THE 1992.
