A vintage pair made in New York city, United States in the early 1970's. They was crafted in solid 18 karats yellow gold and suited with comfortable hinged omega backs for fastening clips. The posts option for pierced ears can be easily added.
Featuring an intricate caged design of twisted gold wires, that hold a pair of bombe carved piece of natural rose wood.
This pair have a total weight of 17.4 grams and a measures of 24.5 mm (1 inch) by 17 mm (0.63 inch).
Signed and stamped, with the company maker's mark, the serial numbers and the assay hallmarks, "SEAMAN SCHEPPS .750 22433".
Seaman Schepps was an American jeweler famous for his retro style, 1950's jewelry design. The company was established in the 1905 as an antique and retailer store. in the 1931 was founded officially as a jewelry designer in New York and the workshop store was located at 516 in Madison Avenue. in the 1933 the business was so successful that they moved to a larger showroom at the 399 in the same avenue. The firm was sold in the 1992.
