*Seaman Schepps New York 18 kt yellow gold caged earrings with rose wood

Nice vintage pair made at the Seaman Schepps atelier in New York. They are very unique, crafted in 18 karats of polished yellow gold and embellished with a pair of squared cabochons cuts, carved from natural rose wood.
They are suited at the reverse, with French omega backs for fastening clips and the posts option can be easily added if desired.
They have a total weight of 23.9 grams and a measures of 24 mm by 24 mm.
Both are signed and stamped with the company's shell maker mark and the assay hallmarks, "SEAMAN SCHEPPS .750 18578".
Seaman Schepps was an American jeweler famous for his retro style, 1950's jewelry design. The company was established in the 1905 as an antique and retailer store. in the 1931 was founded officially as a jewelry designer in New York and the workshop store was located at 516 in Madison Avenue. in the 1933 the business was so successful that they moved to a larger showroom at the 399 in the same avenue. The firm was sold in the 1992.
Nice collector's piece in perfect condition. The Rose wood's carvings are totally even, with no chips or cracks.
